COURSE SYNOPSIS
This course presents a how-to approach to using prototypes to elicit end-user requirements as well as validate process flows and design elements.
Two types will be reviewed: horizontal prototypes where the system’s functionality is mocked up, but with little logic behind the visualization. Alternately, a vertical prototype models a deep, and highly accurate representation of the logic, and may mimic processing such as data management and output or interface creation.
BABOK REFERENCE
This course addresses and expands Section 4.9.
An abbreviated set of these materials is included in the IIBA07 course.
This course is for a team that wants more in-depth hands-on experience with prototyping techniques. This course does not examine or recommend specific prototyping tools although a list of candidate tools is provided.
