green bulletCOURSE SYNOPSIS

Systems Testing is the primary method by which the development team verifies the solution that has been developed functions reliably and as designed. Typically, the System Test maps and validates the design created during Business Solution Design (External Design).

The systems tester verifies that sufficient testing has been completed to validate the functionality of the solution. The systems tester performs the systems test with a fair degree of independence from integration teting.

Frequently, system testers will have a broader view of the overall solution, and thus are able to perform end-to-end business-level testing.

This foundation course provides an in-depth introduction to planning, creating, executing, and reviewing System Test deliverables. The course begins by presenting a context for System Testing and then discusses interoperability - a key concept in understanding relationships in a software solution. From there the course examines the common strategies to performing a quality systems test.

red bulletCOURSE OUTLINE
