COURSE SYNOPSIS
This course provides an approach for software testers working in a software development environment where there are a significant number of requirements and an environment of rapid change. Since requirements have a direct correlation to all design elements as well as acceptance test criteria, it is essential that software testers have a strategy for tracking change in the requirements deliverables.
This course presents alternative methods of managing ongoing requirements changes, from tracking them manually, to using automated tools. The course discusses various methods of interacting with developers and the key touch points where the software tester must be involved in project change management, problem management, issue management, and defect resolution.
Throughout the course the student will have the opportunity to discuss their own project environment and in hands-on workshops, begin to formulate policies, practices, and procedures that can help them participate in the project while also managing requirements.
