green bulletCOURSE SYNOPSIS

From home-grown freeware and shareware to commercial enterprise-wide software packages, there are a wide variety of automated testing tools available in the marketplace. Given that most projects are under extreme timeframes, how does a quality assurance specialist or software tester determine if using one of these tools will be a help or a hindrance?

This course examines the automated software test tool environment and presents discussions of which types of tools to consider, and what their potential impact is on a project or an organization. The selection criteria and implementation challenges are discussed in depth. Strategies for success are presented.

Additionally, we will survey the current tools that are available and provide resources for class attendees to continue investigation and assessment on their own after class.
